About
Architect and design manager with more than three decades of experience in designing, leading and supervising architectural projects — from villas and apartment buildings to civic buildings, shopping centres, residential townships and mega projects.
Mehdi Moradzad holds a Bachelor’s and a Master’s degree in Architecture from Shahid Beheshti University, Tehran, and began practising in Tehran architecture offices in 1992. Since 2001 he has held a Grade 1 licence for architectural design and supervision from the Ministry of Roads and Urban Development.
Over the years he has worked as senior designer, head of design and technical director at Arshan Consulting Engineers, Abad Andishan Zanjan Consulting Engineers, the design-build firms Paya Hoor and Nahal-e No, and the Iranian Sustainable Development & Construction Investment Company. Since 2021 he has been Head of Architecture and Project Manager at Iran Industrial Consulting Engineers.
His work spans cultural, religious, educational, sports, office, commercial, hospitality and judicial buildings, large residential townships, tourism complexes and multi-use towers — from the Qom Hawza & University Research Institute and the West Portico of Tehran’s Grand Mosalla to the Shahid Ghandi Judiciary Building in Yazd and the Golzar Yousefabad multi-use project.
Alongside design, he leads and coordinates design consultants, manages projects and provides senior site supervision. Design and supervision of private residential, office and commercial buildings — particularly in northern Tehran and the Caspian region — remains a continuous part of his practice.
